Cruden & Co. in 1990. Prior to that, Edward was employed as a staff accountant at another local CPA firm and also practiced on his own. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Siena College in Loudonville, New York. His responsibilities within the firm are centered around his strong technical capabilities. Ed’s responsibilities include preparation and review of business and personal tax returns, tax planning and research, tax compliance and assisting with staff education on tax issues. He assists in performing final technical reviews on financial statements prepared by the firm. This step insures the firm’s adherence to professional standards which are mandated and administrated by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. His client services include, business consulting services including audit clients with preparation of forecasts and projections, obtaining bank financing, cash flow analysis, and various tax planning services for all firm clients. His in-depth knowledge of the tax code and creativity is routinely used to the advantage of firm clients. He also overseas the firms preparation and involvement in the estate tax planning area, including trust reporting.
