Cruden & Co. in 1995. Prior to that, she was employed by another local CPA firm and also practiced on her own. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Siena College in Loudonville, New York. Denise’s responsibilities with the firm include review of business and personal tax returns, tax planning and research, and planning and supervision of audit, review and compilation engagements. Denise has an exposure to accounting and reporting issues in many industries including automotive, broadcasting, real estate, professional practices, not-for-profit, and governmental audit and pension plans. Denise assists in performing final technical review of financial statements and engagements prepared by the firm. This step insures the firm’s adherence to professional standards which are mandated and administrated by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Other client services preformed by Denise include client assistance with daily activities, new business filing requirements, and accounting and bookkeeping systems. She works closely with clients to monitor annual business performance and to provide tax planning to minimize personal and corporate tax liabilities.
